Fueling the Future with Electrical Engineering Expertise

At Gables Search Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Fueling Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical charge in designing and delivering complex fueling systems for airports, government facilities, and massive fuel depots. As a key player in shaping the future of aircraft and federal fueling infrastructure, you'll work with our team to develop AC power systems, one-line diagrams, motor schematics, and electrical plans, ensuring seamless power distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Deliver Electrical Components: Work with the team to design and deliver electrical components for projects ranging from small gas stations to multi-million gallon fuel facilities.
  • Master the Power Grid: Develop AC power systems, one-line diagrams, motor schematics, and electrical plans, ensuring seamless power distribution.
  • Specify Electrical Equipment: Specify electrical equipment like transformers, generators, and distribution centers, collaborating with clients and vendors.
  • Design Facility Support Systems: Design facility support systems like security, access control, and lighting, creating comprehensive solutions.
  • Perform Electrical System Analysis: Perform electrical system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash assessments.
  • Coordinate with Fuel Mechanical Team: Coordinate with the fuel mechanical team, develop control philosophies, and design instrument systems.
  • Mentor Colleagues and Participate in Proposal Development: Mentor colleagues, participate in proposal development, and support business development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering Degree: An electrical engineering degree (ABET accredited) and a passed FE exam.
  • At Least 7 Years of Experience: At least 7 years of experience in fueling, oil & gas, water/wastewater, or industrial systems (aviation & federal fueling preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Software Proficiency: Master MS Office and be comfortable with engineering software.
  • Client-Centric Focus: Help clients plan improvements, determine project scope, and manage budgets.
  • Communication Mastery: Express yourself clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Sharp Analytical Skills: Solve complex problems with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaboration Champion: Be a team player, facilitator, and problem-solver.
  • Travel Readiness: Be prepared to hit the road occasionally.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or Revit.
  • Knowledge of federal design guides and specifications.
  • Expertise in industrial standards like NEC, NFPA, API, PIP, and IEEE.
  • Familiarity with fuel process equipment and EPC projects.
