Job Title: Litigation ParalegalAbout the Role

The Hustead Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our litigation support team, you will assist multiple attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, including case and document management, preparation and coordination of discovery, trial preparation, and trial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all phases of litigation support, including case and document management, preparation and coordination of discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Prepare and format pleadings and other legal documents.
  • Conduct document review and interact with clients, experts, and lay witnesses through written and oral communication.
  • Filing legal documents in Federal, State, and Appellate Courts.
  • Monitor case dockets and maintain active case files.
  • Perform legal fact and basic legal research.
  • Coordinate and schedule calendars.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm, supporting multiple attorneys.
  • Familiarity with common litigation documents, including complaints, answers, notices of appearance, motions, miscellaneous notices, and orders.
  • Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (FRAP), and state court rules.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands.
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills while maintaining client service orientation.
  • Must possess strong writing and analytical skills to independently review, draft, and prepare documents.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Ability to work overtime.
