Key Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may differ based on specific client needs and operational requirements:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following production standards and established recipes.
- Organize your workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.
- Prepare ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and peeling.
- Utilize various utensils safely, including knives.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
- Employ different cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming for meats, vegetables, and other food items.
- Present, garnish, and portion food according to set guidelines.
- Store food properly in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
- Follow Aramark's safety policies and procedures, ensuring accurate food safety and sanitation practices.
- Safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.
- Proven knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Basic math and counting skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Additionally, uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
