As an Independent Optometrist at Walmart, you will have the autonomy to establish your own practice, set your own schedule, and control your patient schedule. You will also have the opportunity to lease space inside our Sam's Club and take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision care as well as general health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish your own days of practice and hours of operation
  • Control your patient schedule and set your fee schedule
  • Keep 100% of exam/professional fees
Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school
  • Valid state ophthalmology license
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
  • W-9
