About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Election Systems Specialist to join our team at Beaufort County. As a key member of our Voter Registration and Elections department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our voting systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of voting equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Manage inventory control and asset management for voting system components, including tracking and securing deployment, delivery, and return of equipment.
  • Provide customer service to voters, candidates, and other stakeholders, including processing voter registrations and candidate filings.
  • Assist with election administration, including preparing reports, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect the integrity of the voting system, including adapting to current cybersecurity threats and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with voting system software and hardware.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
