Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Election Systems Specialist to join our team at Beaufort County. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our voting system, ensuring accurate and secure elections, and providing exceptional customer service to our voters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of voting equipment, including monitoring and documenting performance, identifying and implementing solutions to errors, and adjusting equipment as necessary.
  • Manage inventory control and asset management for the voting system, including creating and implementing security protocols, utilizing inventory control software, and tracking the secure deployment and return of voting system components.
  • Assist with supply orders, compile and prepare orders for election materials and supplies, and manage the inventory system of warehouse supplies for all polling location materials, supplies, and components.
  • Administer and supervise pre- and post-election certification audits, ensuring quality control measures are adhered to and providing for accurate vote counts.
  • Perform extensive testing on databases and voting system components to safeguard accuracy of all elections, and assist with the Field Technician (rover) program, troubleshooting and resolving voting system issues on Election Day.
Requirements
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of related work experience.
