Job Summary:The Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing safety and health programs within the company. This includes analyzing work environments, designing programs to control and prevent disease or injury, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement safety and health programs to prevent accidents and injuries
- Conduct periodic surveys and inspections of facilities and equipment to identify safety hazards
- Provide training to management, supervisors, and field operations on safety procedures and regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Management, or a related field
- 5 years of experience as a safety professional with demonstrated increasing responsibilities
- Membership in a professional organization, such as the American Society of Safety Engineers, is highly desirable
- Certified Safety Professional designation is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to protect confidential information and maintain positive working relationships
