Covelo Direct is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Health Care Specialist to join our team in Dorchester, MA

About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Pediatric Health Care Specialist to provide primary medical management for patients aged 0-21 years through collaboration with a physician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care and education tailored to each patient's age, physical ability, educational level, and culture
  • Conduct health assessments and evaluate patient needs in the primary care clinic
  • Perform physical exams, order and/or perform laboratory and diagnostic tests, and make clinical judgments regarding results
  • Develop comprehensive care plans for each patient
  • Initiate appropriate consultations and referrals
  • Provide health information and teaching with an emphasis on prevention and curative treatment
  • Act as a primary care resource to the Pediatric Multidisciplinary Team

Qualifications

  • Current certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times as required by the health center and regulations
  • Experience working with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adults up to age 21
  • Experience in culturally diverse settings and a passion for community health
