BCC Engineering, a leading design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineering Designer to join our team of industry leaders. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, impacting the development of our nation's infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations, and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using industry-standard criteria.
- Develop 3D Models of roadways, utilizing advanced software such as Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads.
- Approach tasks with an open mindset, proposing innovative solutions to design problems and contributing to the development of our company's engineering expertise.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
- Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks, prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings and may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
- Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns, promoting our company's brand and reputation.
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
- Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals, aligning with our company's values and mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
