Substance Use Disorder Coordinator Opportunity

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Coordinator to join our team in Peabody, Massachusetts.

About the Role

In collaboration with the Substance Use Disorder Medical Director, the successful candidate will provide guidance on the development and treatment of substance use disorders in patients at MGB Salem Hospital.

The primary focus will be on the development of substance use disorder treatment in the outpatient setting, including the intensive outpatient program.

Additional responsibilities will include guidance to address substance use disorders on all medical and psychiatric inpatient levels of care and in the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of substance use issues and significant mental health concerns with adolescents and adults.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and families.
  • Intensive attention and concentration skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural issues of patients served by the program.
  • Ability to facilitate group communication between levels of service.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in treatment of SUD patients, including patients who struggle with other co-occurring disorders.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in providing supervisory experience to clinicians required.
  • Masters Degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field.
  • Any licensed discipline (PhD/PsyD, LICSW, or LMHC).
