Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Emergency Trauma Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform limited patient care duties under the supervision of a staff nurse, maintaining an environment conducive to the patient's well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Perform limited patient care duties under the supervision of a staff nurse
  • Maintain an environment conducive to the patient's well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Current CA EMT Certification with recent ambulance or hospital experience
  • Current BLS Provider
  • 12 lead EKG class
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in a related emergency medical field or acute hospital setting
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Working Conditions

The position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday. The successful candidate must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary, and have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
