Job Opportunity at AECOM

AECOM is seeking a talented entry-level Geologist to join our team in the Omaha, Nebraska office. This position will support the Environmental Business Line, primarily working on Federal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply standard field practices and techniques using basic field equipment to collect samples of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment.
  • Perform supervised field tasks, such as soil logging, monitoring well installation, slug testing, and water level/groundwater gradient surveys.
  • Gather and interpret chemical and non-chemical data to be used in the preparation of scientific reports.
  • Prepare basic data and scientific documents, applying knowledge of natural sciences to explain observations.
  • Assist senior-level team members in planning and coordination efforts of field programs.

This position requires comfort with travel, as field work and out-of-state travel will be required. The anticipated division of job-related tasks is about a 75/25 percent split between field and office work.
