The RN Patient Care Unit Supervisor is tasked with overseeing, executing, coordinating, and managing patient care through effective communication with patients, families, nursing personnel, and other stakeholders on the designated unit, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing)- Minimum of one (1) year experience in geriatric nursing preferred
- In-depth knowledge in the field of practice
- Familiarity with practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in the post-acute care environment
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including but not limited to: patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training
- Deliver, manage, and coordinate patient care and services through interpersonal interactions that enable patients to achieve or sustain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Respond in a leadership role to emergency situations concerning patient and staff safety
- Coordinate patient care plans and services
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
