Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at TheraCare in Brooklyn.

About the Role

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with developmental delays in their homes, schools, or community settings. You will work closely with families and a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collect and graph ABA data, and provide early intervention through ABA/Special Instruction therapy techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ABA services to children with developmental delays in various settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and professionals
  • Collect and graph ABA data to track progress and make data-driven decisions
  • Work with families to achieve child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive services

Requirements

  • NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with professionals and families
  • Flexibility to travel to various settings for service provision
