Your Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer at Skyline, you will play a pivotal role in steering complex commercial construction projects to fruition. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to transform client visions into tangible outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing and participating in job walks.
  • Preparing and evaluating bids.
  • Coordinating access to construction sites.
  • Documenting meeting minutes and weekly progress reports.
  • Tracking and reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, procurement, and cost management.
  • Completing project initiation and closure documentation.
  • Assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in the daily oversight of various construction projects.
Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer with a commercial general contractor.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with coursework in Construction Management.
  • A solid understanding of construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, BlueBeam, Procore, PlanGrid, and CAD.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • The capability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
  • A foundational knowledge of project estimation and scheduling.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to project needs to ensure success.
