MRI Technologist

As a MRI Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing quality patient imaging specific to MRI in accordance with physicians orders. You will ensure patient safety and provide high quality testing. Your duties will include preparing MRI room for patient procedures, processing images, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring equipment is maintained and meets manufacture specifications.
You will operate equipment according to prescribed safety standards and exercise professional and ethical judgment in performance of diagnostic services. You will adhere to appropriate sterile techniques and apply knowledge of the principles of growth and development to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality images through clinical protocols and positions patients to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting comfort and ability.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
- Provide patient education on procedures according to age-specific needs.
- Facilitate patients cooperation and alleviates anxiety by addressing patients concerns.
- Verify appropriate procedure to be performed by checking physicians orders and outpatient prescriptions.
Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year of direct experience with cross-sectional anatomy.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging OR Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington).
