Job Summary:

As a Data Scientist at Maintec Technologies, you will play a crucial role in assisting with complex data cleaning, integration, and analysis of public health data. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and data stewards to ensure data projects are accurate and fulfill business needs for various data projects, including COVID-19.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage appropriate analytic and visualization tools (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, others) to develop complex data cleaning, integration, and analysis projects.

Apply appropriate coding and statistical methodology to fulfill stakeholder requirements.

Coordinate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define requirements, organize and lead meetings, present findings, solicit feedback, and establish enhancement cycles.

Communicate data project results for a variety of audiences. Build visualizations, collaborate on report writing, present to internal and external stakeholders, and pursue publication as applicable.

Build relationships and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders including subject-matter experts, data stewards, and others as applicable.

Contribute to team documentation. Ensure that scripts are commented out and routine processes are described step-wise. Includes data cleaning steps, sources, filters, assumptions, and purposes in documentation.

Proactively identify process, database, and analysis improvements. Identify, communicate, and implement innovative strategies without overstepping programmatic ownership.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree with coursework in biostatistics or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Strong data analysis skills in SQL, Tableau, R, REDCap, and Microsoft Excel.

Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Experience working collaboratively with diverse groups and projects with defined timelines and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree with coursework in biostatistics or equivalent.

Proficiency with SQL, R, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and REDCap.

Familiarity with health/public health data.
