Data Analyst Job Description

At InterSources, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping us make data-driven decisions and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand data needs and objectives.
  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
  • Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from diverse sources for analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Examine data quality, applications, and functions to ensure accurate migration.
  • Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Generate visualizations and reports for stakeholders and collaborate with the management team to determine and rank the needs of different business units.
  • Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand business requirements.
  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
  • Engage with SMEs of various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or related role.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
  • Proficient in programming languages (Python, R, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
