About the Role

The Maintenance Technician Supervisor position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. This supervisory role oversees maintenance activities, manages personnel, and ensures compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and direct a team of skilled maintenance technicians to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Task Allocation and Progress Monitoring: Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor work progress to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintenance Supplies and Equipment Management: Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to prevent shortages and minimize downtime.
  • Budget Control: Collaborate with management to prepare and control maintenance budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Mechanical Skills: Perform a range of mechanical skills, including installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose malfunctions, replace or repair parts, and test machinery to ensure proper functioning.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance and Quality: Work within company policies and procedures, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, perform other duties as required, and contribute to the company's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably with demonstrated leadership roles.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads.
  • Linguistic Abilities: Bilingual abilities are preferred but not mandatory; proficiency in English is essential.
  • Technical Expertise: Truss manufacturing equipment experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially exceeding 8 hours per day.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Capable of lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds, occasionally requiring heavy lifting or carrying.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
