Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Specialist to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks performed regularly, including:

  • Vacuuming and maintaining carpeted areas.
  • Emptying waste receptacles and managing waste disposal.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
  • Restocking supplies such as paper products.
  • Performing specialized cleaning tasks as needed, including dusting and polishing.

The specialist will be responsible for the sanitation of equipment and work areas, adhering to health regulations and company policies. This position may involve handling various cleaning chemicals and maintaining inventory for cleaning supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment as required.
  • Conduct basic housekeeping tasks, including cleaning floors, walls, and ceilings.
  • Document cleaning activities in sanitation logs.
  • Lift and manage cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including furniture and fixtures.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or sanitation roles is preferred. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Skills and Attributes:

The candidate should possess the ability to:

  • Take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with various building maintenance needs.
  • Communicate effectively regarding cleanliness and sanitation requirements.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience or training.

Physical Requirements:

The role may involve:

  • Occasional climbing, lifting, and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Working in various environments, including confined spaces.
  • Frequent communication and repetitive motions.

Work Environment:

Exposure to varying temperatures, outdoor elements, and potentially hazardous conditions may occur.
