About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Sharp Community Medical Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Move, assemble, and install medical and office equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies, coordinating resolution with relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular cleaning, inspections, and assessments of facilities and equipment, identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain detailed logs of activities.
  • Follow safety guidelines, reporting hazards and compliance issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist in coordinating external vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs, monitoring their work and ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, completing work orders and logs promptly.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, vendors, and departments.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) and work in various physical environments.
  • Availability for facility-related emergencies outside regular working hours.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with standard office hours, including some night and weekend work. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask effectively.
