Job Description

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation that meets the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and online help systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and create accurate and concise documentation.
  • Edit and standardize materials prepared by other writers or team members.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions regarding scope, format, content, and methods of online posting and reproduction.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and files of work and revisions for future reference.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in requirements development.
  • 3 years of business analyst experience (federal experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated experience in developing documentation that meets Government standards and is prepared in final format for official approval.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a commitment to high-quality output
  • Experience with management information systems (e.g., financial, accounting, budget, purchasing, etc.).
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Section 508 compliance and the creation of 508 compliant documents.
  • Ability to manage large, complex spreadsheets and database tools.
  • Knowledge of modern technologies and technical communications.
