Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Center for Orthopedic and Research Excel. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures on patients, maintaining technical competency, and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI imaging procedures on patients in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols.
- Complete and sign patient screening forms and explain the procedure to patients.
- Maintain technical competency through continued education and training.
- Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
- Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain current permits to practice in all states in which services are performed.
- Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
- Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
- May assist with the setup and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
- Maintain a clean environment inside and outside of the facility.
Requirements:
- Radiographer certification (ARRT) required.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Principles and practices of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- Basic chemistry, film apparatus, and film processing techniques.
- Lift and position patients for the type of MRI procedure required.
- Notice detail in drawings and differences in shapes and shadings.
- Keep and maintain records.
