Physical Therapist PT Float Position

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Spaulding Hospital - Boston and Cambridge. As a Physical Therapist PT Float, you will provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
- Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
- Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.
- Uphold the PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- 3 years of experience as a licensed PT preferred.
- Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- A valid Driver's License.
- BLS required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
- Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
- Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
- Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
Travel to and from Spaulding Outpatient Center locations Framingham, Wellesley, Brighton, and Cambridge.
Variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care (evening, holidays, weekend, and travel).
Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
Work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
