Nurse Specialist

Penn State Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist in the Orthopedics department. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
About the Role- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN with a strong background in orthopedic nursing to provide expert care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and treatment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to ongoing education, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assess patient health problems and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring timely and secure documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
- CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BY STATE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOLDS A MULTISTATE RN LICENSE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT REQUIRED
- BLS REQUIRED PRIOR TO ORIENTATION COMPLETION
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
