Senior IT Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to join our team at Manhattan Associates. As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing projects according to baselined scope and schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate projects by understanding business problems and solution goals, defining project objectives, and creating project charters.
  • Lead project work breakdown structures, oversee requirement creation, and manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project schedules with task dependencies, milestones, and resource assignments.
  • Manage project budgets and mitigate variances against baselines.
  • Plan, organize, and manage testing activities, including testing execution and defect management.
  • Identify and manage program risks and issues, performing ongoing risk analysis and applying risk mitigation strategies.
  • Plan and manage project change control processes, leading change impact analysis and managing Change Control Boards.
  • Plan and manage implementation and user go-live, creating and executing detailed implementation plans with medium to high dependencies.
  • Distribute project status to stakeholders, including C-level leadership, and set clear expectations with all stakeholders.
  • Build and grow business relationships vital to project success, developing strong relationships across the organization to influence decisions and opinions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in IT project management, including project planning and execution.
  • Experience managing projects with business applications (Office 360, Salesforce, Workday, MS Dynamix, or other ERP and HCM applications) and infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related technical or business field.

  • Highly proficient in understanding, analyzing, planning, and synthesizing project details, both technical and business aspects, in a clear and meaningful manner.
  • Highly proficient in proactively discovering, ascertaining, and mitigating gaps, plan variances, impacts, and risks to the project and across the organization.
  • Highly skillful in collaborating with business to develop and articulate business cases, leading discussions with stakeholders to collect and synthesize information.
  • Highly skillful in evaluating project estimates to yield realistic and achievable goals.
  • Highly skillful in rationalizing project costs and identifying potential ways to minimize costs.
  • Highly skillful in leading and eliciting cooperation from others to take appropriate actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Highly proficient at performing what-if scenarios on scope, schedule, and budget to determine project impact.
  • Proficient at clearly articulating and tailoring communication content appropriately based on audience.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes, with the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Highly skillful in conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly skillful in interpreting communication styles of others from a broad spectrum of disciplines and tailoring style accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to be influential, persuasive, encouraging, and compelling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with IT Project Management software (i.e., JIRA, MS Project).
