We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Interventionist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Early Intervention Specialist - Family Development Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.

Located in Beaufort, Colleton, and Walterboro counties in South Carolina, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families. Our team is passionate about providing individualized support and resources to help families navigate the complexities of early childhood development.

As an Early Interventionist with About Play, you will work closely with families to develop and implement strategies that promote child development, parenting skills, and family functioning. Your expertise and guidance will empower parents to become their child's first and most important teacher, fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide family-centered early intervention services, including home visits, training sessions, and support groups
  • Develop and implement individualized plans tailored to each family's unique needs and goals
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for families
  • Conduct thorough assessments and progress monitoring to inform service delivery and goal attainment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children birth to six years old, preferably in early intervention or a related field
  • Prior experience as an Early Interventionist, teaching professional, or early child development specialist is highly desirable
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (Heartsaver, Infant & Child) preferred
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $40,000 per year, plus travel mileage reimbursement at .45 per mile up to a $565 reimbursable monthly cap. With mileage reimbursement, your total annual compensation could reach $46,780. In addition, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and short-term disability coverage. Paid time off and generous sick leave hours are also available.

Location and Work Schedule:

This position requires residence in the counties listed above and surrounding areas in South Carolina. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
