As a key member of the Christus Health team, the Office Coordinator, Phys MED Therapy Pediatric will provide administrative support to the Rehabilitation department. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the department, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient data. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in medical billing and coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Rehabilitation department, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient data.
- Assist therapists with the care of whirlpool patients.
- Manage insurance authorizations and verifications.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in medical coding, billing, and insurance authorization/verification.
- Knowledge of computers and general office equipment.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
This is a part-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent time management skills.
