Hydraulic Engineer II Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer II to join our Water Resources team at HNTB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the production and modification of hydraulic and hydrologic designs for various clients. Your expertise will be utilized to analyze open and closed stormwater systems, perform hydraulic flood studies, and prepare hydraulic survey reports (HSRs).

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of project quantities and cost estimates

Collaborate with engineering teams to organize and administer design files

Perform research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience

Proficiency in Flowmaster, HydroCAD, HDS-5, HY-8, and other drainage software

Knowledge of HECRAS modeling software and FEMA floodplain analysis and compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Engineering

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
