Job Summary

The Assistant Maintenance Superintendent is a key member of the Drucker + Falk, LLC team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of resident relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Assist the Maintenance Superintendent in supervising maintenance employees, providing guidance and training to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, respond to emergency work orders, and ensure that all repairs are completed within 24 hours.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, parts, and equipment, and ensure that all operating manuals and warranty records are up-to-date.
  • Contractor Management: Schedule and oversee contractors for maintenance-related work, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and contractor information.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with OSHA regulations, Drucker + Falk purchasing directives, and other relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of maintenance and repair principles, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide maintenance employees.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Maintenance Superintendent will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and potentially hazardous materials. The ability to work in a team environment and respond to emergency situations is essential.
