Nuclear Medicine Supervisor

At Huntsville Hospital Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective supervision of Nuclear Imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that all Nuclear procedures meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Direct Nuclear employees regarding proper Radiation Safety and Protection from undue Radiation exposure.
- Assure enforcement of safety regulations in all areas.
- Participate in maintaining and acquiring information for Performance Improvement projects.
- Ensure that all equipment is safe and maintained in a way that promotes effective and safe patient care, in accordance with all regulatory State and JACHO guidelines.
- High School graduate or equivalent with satisfactory completion of a formal Nuclear School of Medicine or equivalent.
- CPR Certification required.
- Must be a registered technologist within the Nuclear Medicine Field; also should have attained experience and possess capabilities as determined to be adequate by the Director and Medical Director of Radiology.
- Use common sense and special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped.
- Understand technical information from supervisors, charts, reference books, manuals and labels.
- Use eyes, hands and fingers with skill.
- Work fast in an emergency situation.
- Effectively communicate with people when they are sick, handicapped, or nervous.
- Follow instructions exactly.
- Record information accurately.
- Ability to care for patients of all ages.
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens.
- Exposure to dust.
- Exposure to fumes.
- Exposure to noise.
- Exposure to chemicals.
