Emergency Medical Technician

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at Life Lion EMS. As an EMT, you will be responsible for responding to emergencies, assessing patients, and providing treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic Life Support standard curriculum.
You will also be responsible for transporting patients according to established protocols and assisting Advance Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management. Additionally, you will perform non-emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs vans and follow up with complete appropriate documentation.
Requirements- Basic life support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Program CPR/AED certified.
- Current certification as an EMT in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity if certified in another state.
- Valid Driver's license or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.
- PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
- HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
- Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.
- Six (6) months of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience preferred.
