Emergency Medical Technician Advanced Teamster

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (EMT-A) to join our team at Penn State Health. As an EMT-A, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency medical services environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic life support and advanced skills, including patient assessment, airway management, and medication administration.
- Work collaboratively with paramedics and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Drive ambulances safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certifications and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility to operate an EMS vehicle in the Commonwealth of PA.
- PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
- ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months.
- EMT Advanced certification.
- Ability to obtain Medical Command authorization through competencies established by the Medical Director.
- Hazmat Awareness Training within 30 days of start date.
- NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) certification within 30 days of start date.
