The Medical Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing essential registration tasks by engaging with patients or their representatives. Additionally, this position entails managing the scheduling of departmental and specialized procedures, coordinating with physicians' offices and other departments to confirm the availability of rooms and equipment as needed.
Building trust and rapport with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is crucial through proficient job execution and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Familiarity with medical terminology, including various diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, and consultations.
Ability to comprehend and interpret diverse data and instructions presented in written, verbal, or visual formats.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, patients, and other healthcare staff.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and adhering to established policies and procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Capable of identifying, assessing, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensure the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other staff members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

This salary range may vary based on location and is influenced by factors such as experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, and departmental equity.
Base pay is one component of the comprehensive rewards program offered by Sutter Health, which includes eligibility for a complete benefits package.
