About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team at MaineHealth's flagship hospital in Portland, Maine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center
  • Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex psychiatric needs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
  • Current and valid license as a Physician Assistant by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine
  • 2+ years of patient care experience in ambulatory mental health or hospital setting
  • Advanced skill and knowledge in psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacology
