Join Maine Medical Center's Behavioral Health team as a Psych Tech and make a difference in the lives of our patients.

**About the Role:**

As a Psych Tech, you will work on our geriatric-psych inpatient unit, providing support to patients with acute psychiatric needs. You will develop a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnoses, maintain the unit schedule, and facilitate timely transitions.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist patients with daily living skills (ADLs) as directed by an RN
* Follow patient treatment and behavior plans
* Conduct environmental rounds and remove sharps or prohibited items
* Facilitate milieu-based community groups and leisure/recreation groups
* Accompany patients on transports as assigned

**What You Will Need:**

* High School diploma and equivalent experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Services preferred
* N/A license/certifications
* N/A experience
