This is a unique opportunity for a Student Nurse - I to gain valuable experience in a hospital setting while continuing their education. As a Nurse Assistant in the Education Department, you will work under the supervision of an RN or LPN to provide optimal patient care and assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical skills according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Assist with routine procedures such as enemas, sitz baths, and surgical preps.
- Take and record vital signs, measure and record intake and output, and weigh patients as assigned.
- Assist patients with meals and ensure nourishments and water are given according to established schedules.
- Participate in in-service and staff activities to improve knowledge and techniques.
- Current student in first year of an Associate Degree Nursing Program or completion of 2 years of a Baccalaureate Program in good academic standing with a "C" or better grade point average.
- BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days.
