Job Title: Ironworker Helper

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker Helper to join our team for a project in Brown Summit, NC. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and operating instruments and measuring devices, load and transport materials, and perform various tasks to ensure the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and operation of instruments and measuring devices.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Clean the work area and restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Perform work from scaffolding, ladders, or other structures.
  • Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
  • Detect and respond to hazardous conditions or situations.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with craft supervisors, managers, and fellow workers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
  • Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Physical Requirements and Job Site Requirements
  • Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as confined spaces.
  • Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
  • Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
