Commercial Preconstruction Manager

PeopleSolutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Preconstruction Manager to join their team. As a prominent player in the construction sector, they handle a diverse range of projects including mixed-use, retail, office, multifamily, healthcare, and interior design across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Development: Develop detailed budgets from various project documents, including initial sketches and detailed designs.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external teams to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Bid Package Preparation: Lead the preparation and review of bid packages and scope definitions.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely completion of each phase.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee the bid process, including obtaining and qualifying subcontractor input.
  • Market Research: Maintain industry contacts to stay informed about market conditions and pricing trends.
  • Buyout Process: Lead the buyout process once project is awarded.
Qualifications:
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Industry Experience: 5-10 years working for a General Contractor.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency with project management tools; experience with Bluebeam or On-Screen Takeoff is advantageous.
  • Creativity and Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and solve problems efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proven track record of dedication, strong work ethic, and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
