Job Title: Technical Lead Software Engineer

Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Software Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA. As a Senior Principal, you will be responsible for leading software development teams and projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze user requirements and capture them for Agile Scrum methodology features, user stories, and technical advice to product owners.
  • Assist backlog grooming and scheduling stories according to priorities for each project and its modules.
  • Create dependency matrices where stories are scheduled, identifying technical impedances, and creating technical stories.
  • Design software applications along with Low-Level Design (LLD), associated with each story.
  • Use design patterns such as Factory, Facade, Builder, and Singleton.
  • Assist architects and technical leads to develop system designs identifying dependencies with other modules and sub-systems.
  • Design and build databases and database queries on top of Object Relational models.
  • Participate in production deployment processes, release planning, creating documents for releases, and scripting for deployments, documenting step-by-step processes for the platform team.
  • Develop applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC, Angular, Jquery, Camel, and Hibernate using SVN, GIT.
  • Develop unit testing processes using Junit, Jmock, Mockito frameworks and integrate unit tests with build processes to maintain expected code coverage.
  • Perform environment integration testing, ensuring all functionalities work as expected in development, staging, and production environments.
  • Develop RESTful web services using CXF, Jersey frameworks, and Spring RESTful layers. Use JAVA and JavaScript security standards enforced by specifications; MySQL databases, Jenkins build, CloudForms Management Engine (CFME), Spring Batch, Linux, CXF, JMS API, Jackson, JaxB, and SAX parsers to process JSON and XML responses.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training, and/or experience. Twenty-four months in job or related experience, including job duties listed above. Opportunity to work from home.
