The Cath Lab Specialist will be an integral part of the assigned team, responsible for assisting, monitoring, and documenting various procedures conducted in the Cath Lab.

Candidates must exhibit proficiency in operating equipment and must communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, management, and other departments. Vanderbilt Health values diversity as a cornerstone of excellence and creativity.

  • Adhere to and uphold the principles and service standards of VUMC Harton while participating in hospital-sponsored initiatives.
  • Assist physicians during Cath Lab procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of hemodynamic/computer recording systems.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of image processing and replay, charge implementation, patient scheduling, and data collection.
  • Ensure a safe environment within the unit.
  • Contribute to effective communication and the smooth operation of the department.
  • Commit to ongoing personal development and competency maintenance.
  • Conduct patient assessments that reflect an understanding of growth and development across various age groups, recognizing psychosocial levels and developmental patterns. Provide age-appropriate stimulation and learning opportunities.
