Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Schweiger Dermatology Group. As an Allergy LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and education in our allergy clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general care and education to patients with allergy-related conditions, including administering allergy shots and performing lung function testing.
  • Prepare necessary supplies for allergy testing and maintain the immunotherapy room with cleanliness and organization.
  • Administer allergy shots and ensure provider presence on site.
  • Observe, record, and report patients' vitals and reactions to treatments.
  • Supervise triaging of patient communications and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assist providers in recording prescribed treatments, medications, and lab requisitions.
  • Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps to ensure seamless care.
  • Ensure allergy test sets and emergency kits are filled, current, and up-to-date.
  • Serve as a role model and consultant to staff, promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the respective state Education Department.
  • Pass the NCLEX-PN exam.
  • LPN license in the state working in required.
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
  • Open availability to work during weekdays.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
