Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Navion Senior Solutions. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a cutting-edge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.
  • Promote and protect residents' rights and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Document all changes in a resident's condition as soon as possible to the supervisor.
  • Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance to the established policies and procedures of the community.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and only utilize equipment that has been previously trained on.
  • Infection Control precautions and practices are utilized with all activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report all safety violations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course
  • Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required
  • Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families and staff members
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
