Job Title: Correctional Substance Use Counselor

CoreCivic is seeking a highly skilled Correctional Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Cedar Creek, Texas.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide substance use counseling services to individuals in a correctional setting. As a Correctional Substance Use Counselor, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing treatment plans to help individuals overcome substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address substance use issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of each individual
  • Provide education and support to help individuals understand and manage their substance use
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of counseling sessions and treatment progress
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • One year of experience in the mental health or substance use counseling field
  • LCDC Intern license required
  • Valid driver's license
