Job Summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Be sensitive to patients' needs throughout procedures and explain the exam process to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
  • Perform radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensure patient and staff safety by following protocols, correct patient positioning, and adhering to radiation protection guidelines.
  • Utilize sterile technique when performing invasive procedures.
  • Recognize emergent patient situations and respond quickly and appropriately.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information to other patient care providers.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • ARRT registration.
  • Current Rad Tech license in state of practice (if working in Utah).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.
  • May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and perform the function of an MA (as required by Medical Group).
Preferred Qualifications
  • IV certification.
