Job Summary:

Magellan Health Services is seeking a highly skilled New Parent Support Home Visitor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide critical support to military families with young children, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood and promoting healthy relationships within the family.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and referrals to families, including parenting programs, respite care, and supervised playtime.
  • Assess developmental milestones and refer families to specialists as needed.
  • Identify and report suspected child abuse and neglect, as well as domestic abuse.
  • Develop relationships with local community and military installation officials to maximize program effectiveness.
  • Utilize community-based services and networks to provide concrete support to families in crisis.

Requirements:
  • At least two years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, or medical social work.
  • Current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT, or RN.
  • Home visitation experience and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office software.
