Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate New Parent Support Home Visitor to join our team at Magellan Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to families with young children, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood and promoting healthy relationships within the family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide home visits to families with children from birth to 3 years old, offering support and guidance on parenting skills and child development.
  • Assess and address risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect, working with families to develop strategies for preventing harm.
  • Connect families with community resources and services, helping them access the support they need to thrive.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to family support.
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking systems, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT, or RN.
  • At least two years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, or medical social work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
