The City of New York is seeking a Business Analyst to support the unit Director in the coordination and planning of contract development and contract management. This role will involve creating and maintaining a database and/or spreadsheet to track contract expenditure and compliance, as well as reviewing payment packages for accuracy and submitting approved payment packages to the Engineering Audit Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain a database and/or spreadsheet to track contract expenditure and compliance
- Review payment packages for accuracy and ensure DOC forms are submitted and completed
- Follow up on problems/issues regarding missing documentation
- Submit approved payment packages to the Engineering Audit Officer
- Attend contract and pre-bid conference meetings as needed
- Perform routine office tasks, including preparing memos, answering telephones, filing, locating records, and making photocopies
- Assist Director with special projects and liaise with COP, EAO, and contractors as needed
- A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration, or a related field, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in contract management, budget administration, or a related area
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in contract management, budget administration, or a related area
- An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college and five years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in contract management, budget administration, or a related area
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and seven years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in contract management, budget administration, or a related area
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Ability to multitask, manage, and track multiple projects and documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, research, and problem-solving skills
