Office/Bureau: Project Development - Property Office

Position Overview:

This Surveying Technician role involves executing topographic, GPS, construction, and various survey tasks as part of a field team. This position is integral to the Maine DOT Property Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the upkeep and calibration of surveying instruments and vehicles,
  • Conduct editing tasks related to research and data entry in the Realty Management System (RMS),
  • Analyze and process survey data, and
  • Serve as the survey crew leader when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate one of the following experiences:
  • Five (5) years of experience in engineering,
  • An Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with three (3) years of engineering experience, or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with one (1) year of engineering experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior surveying experience.
