About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to advance oncology treatments and improve outcomes for cancer patients worldwide.

Working closely with our Research Pharmacists, you will be responsible for assisting with clinical trial drug management, including drug inventory, temperature logs, and study agent preparation and packaging.

You will also be required to have knowledge of protocol-specific drug information, federal regulations, and documentation guidelines.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Research Pharmacists with clinical trial drug management
  • Manage drug inventory and maintain temperature logs
  • Prepare and package investigational and sponsor-provided study agents
  • Review protocols and determine clinical and drug supply needs
  • Order corresponding supplies from approved vendors and sponsors
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
  • Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • At least one year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • IV Admixture and Chemotherapy Admixture experience preferred
